New Commission!



Astor’s Nod (for solo flute) will be performed tonight at the International Flute Symposium Gala Concert at West Virginia University. Pamela Murchison, a Pittsburgh flute and piccolo performer, will be playing the piece.

A word to composers~


The Interlochen Academy Band, under the direction of Dr. Matthew Schlomer, did an outstanding job with the second performance of Isle of May last Friday on their concert. I should have a recording up soon!

Isle of May gets a second run



Isle of May was premiered last Tuesday in Cobb Hall at Michigan State. The Symphony Band did a nice job with a tough piece. You can hear the premiere recording and read about the piece here.
