It’s been a while, so here are a couple updates on what I’ve been doing:

I was commissioned to write for the Interlochen Shakespeare Festival in June & July. The Festival put on Shakespeare’s The Tempest. Part of the script calls for the actors to sing the lines. The producer and director thought ahead and decided it was an excellent opportunity to collaborate. I got the request and was able to set seven different texts from the script. Some of the music I composed was also used as incidental music during the play.

In other news, I’ve had a request from Tala Rasa Percussion to re-work and update Roulette, which they commissioned in 2012. They plan to add it to their upcoming concert season repertoire. It’s exciting to see music continue to live and be performed beyond it’s initial start!
